Sugam Pokharel, the 1 Man Band (1MB) singer of Nepal is one of the most renown singer of Nepali Music Industry. While talking about Sugam Pokharel, he is the youngest child of two brothers and two sisters above him born on 20th September 1979 in Mangalbare, Morang. He was a very shy during his childhood as he became able to overcome his shyness only when he was in class 8. He remembers listening to the songs of Sanjay Shrestha, Deep Shrestha and Harish Mathema which unknowingly influenced him to start his singing career.
His hobbies includes listening to music and playing guitar, also he loves to read novels. Narayan Gopal, Bhakta Raj Acharya, Ambar Gurung, Sanjay Shrestha are some of his favoriate Nepali singers. He has participated in lot of concerts in and out of Nepal organized by Nepalese community. Sugam is widely appreciated for his own style of music and song composition that makes any one to listen it repeatedly.
While talking about hit numbers of Sugam includes “Feri Tyo Din”, “Mero Euta Sathi Chha”, “Mero Sansar” of which “Feri Tyo Din” was his first hit song from album “1MB (Sunya)” which made him overnight popular music star in Nepali music Industry. This song was able to stay in No1 position in most of the musical countdown shows in radio and TV.
After 1MB, each album of Sugam were appreciated as they include unique taste of his melodies in unique version of songs. He has grabbed lot of Musical awards till date. He has given hit songs even in Nepali Movie Industry. He is busy in composing music on Nepali movies and some projects now a days.
